monkey76364
No doubt you remember in the game against Arsenal where you thought it appropriate to continue playing despite two Arsenal players being injured and then instead of playing by the spirit of the game and kicking the ball into touch, your players chose to seek advantage of your opponent's misfortune. Facts need to be right. Carrick did stop play and the ref waved play to continue and didn't blow the whistle, in that fact play must coninue or Carrick would need to be yellow carded for time wasting ! **Edit** Any way it was a bad foul that caused Arsenal to score their goal to make it 1-1 that match ....theres your Karame lol
monkey76364
ok, Question! Arsenal lose 10 players due to food poisoning just before the final. Will they get a replay date or be told to play? Loads riding on that too? Another reason why the rules need to be loked at for EXTREAME circumstances ! Not just players injured though every day paly and training:tongue:
DamanC
Some really bad immature comments here. Karma? your having a laugh right? Arsenal do this all the time and the only thing the pedo says every week is "i didnt see it". Spurs would have beaten west ham if they were not ill, it was dredfully obvious. The FA wouldnt let them pospone the game. its a lose lose situation. Id like to see some of you run around for 90 minuites with the flu.......no didnt think you could. So basically Arsenal were given a place in the CL because of the FA, not because they won it. Pritty much every team in the premiership is in agreement that spurs should be above arsenal or deserve a replay. Also why is it Arsenal fans run around blowing their trumpet that they have 'beaten' spurs and there all fantastic and mighty and finish a lowly 4th? Surely with a budget like Arsenal's they should be up there with the chelsea's and man u's but finish many points behind. Poor management if you ask me. There is only one team in north london and the other moved there
Robert
budget like arsenal's? up with chelsea? what ever your on i want some, because if you think even man u can compete with chelsea your crazy. Theres no point moaning about all this, your not in the CL and we are, end of. What else needs to be said? what goes around comes around, and you lot didnt put the ball out so it came back and got you. In the summer how much did we spend and how much did you spend and thats why you NEED the CL so much, else you wont be buying anyone this year. Robert
are arsenal a british team lmol pml,,,, like ive said before, should arsenal just buy some british players to make people happy? who would you swap henry, fabregas, toure and reyes for? There are only a handfull of world class british midfield players and they would all cost over 10-15 million. Maybe we should have saved a few quid on henry and bought dean aston for 7 million? spurs have defoe on the bench most of the time and would prefer to play mido and keane. Robert
and even if we lose to barcalona in the final, we wont cry about it, we got there at least. Don't act like spurs would do any better than us. Barcalona are a great team and they beat chelsea which we haven't managed this year.
tbourner
Don't act like spurs would do any better than us. I came 3rd in a 100m sprint at school once, the bloke behind me said he'd beaten me! Didn't quite understand that.

pump gas pete
I have the majority of staff here who support Arsenal. I have one who supports Tottenham. One Arsenal fan and the Tottenham Trotspur fan have had an ongoing bet over the last FOUR years that Tottenham would finish above Arsenal within 5 years. The bet is for £100 so its not chickenfeed. The finish was a nailbiter this year. It is unfortunate that Tottenham players were ill before the game. It is also unfortunate that Rooney is injured. I would like the FA to ask FIFA to postpone the worlfd cup so our best player can get fit. If not and we lose a match can we ask for a replay when he is fit? As an example of Tottenham Trotspuritus , an infectious disease, I play Graeme the gentleman in question at Table Tennis here at work. He is 13 years younger than me. He can be Hammered (if you pardon the expression!) 8 games to 2 with a points difference of 4 after giving him a 6 point start. He refuses to accept he is BEATEN. It is always "it could have gone either way". After such a long time as a Trottenham Shitspur supporter hope springs eternal . He hopes things will turn round soon and some meaningful trophies are added to the dusty cabinet in his lifetime cos it has not so far.......and he's 41 this year. Question.....Do you think they remember where they have put the key to the trophy cabinet? Pump Gas Pete 769 RHHP on Pump Gas

pump gas pete
No TBOURNER I am not arguing about anything. There is nothing to argue about . My friend Graeme ,who I have mentioned before is a Hotspur fan, has a number of "sayings" in relation to sport. One of which is " A win is a win" .......remember he is a Tottenham fan. He is unfortunately on holiday this week to avoid being at work if the season went pear shaped and he did not win his bet...again. Which it did. As far as I can see from the Tottenham Hotspur fans I have met they are perfectly wonderful people until you mention Arsenal. They then become snarling beasts and with contorted faces they begin to lose all rational thought and attempt to convince anyone listening that black is white. .....just an observation of someone having been on the planet longer than most on this site.. Personally I am not that interested in football. I prefer Drag Racing. Still TBOURNER whilst you believe I am "Arguing about this shite" and in your mind my age has some pertinence to the matter...I believe I have lobbed a few choice, well chosen, mildly humourous observations into the fray...... And therin lies the difference in our ages
monkey76364
I think you'll find he is Irish Lol ... thats what you get for getting up to early, had a moment and thought of Northan Ireland DOH .....

And therin lies the difference in our ages TBH my tongue was nowhere near the middle of my mouth when I typed that, wasn't even going to press 'submit' but then I thought what the hey it's only a football thread!! Your age has nothing to do with it, sorry for mentioning it, but you seemed to be using your age as an 'all access pass' to have your say accepted by all, "He's younger than me yet for some reason he thinks he might just be better - that can't be right" isn't an appropriate attitude; and believe me I've had enough crap from 'oldies' at work because I'm in a better job than them! However fair's fair, I just re-read your post and that guy you work with does sound like a pleb. I also 'attacked' your post because your humorous ( ) alterations to the Hotspur name suggested you were quite passionate about the subject, and as I mentioned earlier I don't understand people who get so emotional over a game, especially one like football! As for the FIFA comment; if all the other teams involved in the world cup were to agree then yes it should be postponed, obviously they won't so it's a null point; West Ham were willing to play at a later date yet the relevant ruling body decided against it for some reason, I think that was a bad decision. But hey what do I know, I prefer gymnastics to football.

pump gas pete
My you are an emotional person . My opinion is as valid as anyone elses on this forum. I do not use age as an "all access pass" to be accepted by all. My opinion can and often is flawed. It is interesting to hear alternative, well reasoned opinions. I'm sorry you have had "enough" crap from the oldies at work. Still look on the bright side we will all die soon enough and you can inherit the mantle of "Oldie" I am not at all passionate about football. I,apparently like you, cannot understand why people get so upset about it. Still in all things one should try and retain a sense of perspective and humour eh!
