Conrad
1st thing i'de do is take out the restrictor ring (is it a CJ) have you changed both the cats ?, if yes the car should be flying in comparison to what it was, i'de also go bigger on the spark gap as well go for the NGKs about £14 a set Ring from Chris Wilson and both cats removed. Which NGK's do you recommend?
hadyn
Dont take out the restrictor ring out. Keep your current set up and you'll hit 1 bar eventually and about 1.1 bar when it gets cold Thats all you'll need for low 13s mate
paul mac
plugs i used at BPU were NGK BKR7E-11, i appreciate what Hadyn said in the last post but in the warm weather i would hit 1.18 (nearly 1.2) and about 1.25 bar in the winter this was with a calibrated gauge, if alls well you should be seeing way more than 0.9 and feel a big big difference

The plugs you've got will be fine, but a 0.7mm gap is a little narrow. 0.8 to 0.9 would be better. Hadyn's right about the boost, it will go up when it gets colder. But I would still remove the restrictor ring to see if it does go up. The ideal situation would to be getting just over 1.0 bar with the restrictor in or out - (whatever it takes) - in the summer - warmer weather. Then get the extra by fitting a bleed valve or boost controller which would give you the ability to adjust it when needed as the weather gets colder so you can limit the boost to 1.2 bar. Conrad
Will do, I'm gonna take the ring out tomorrow and see what happens. Wanted to get a boost controller anyway so looks like that's next on my shopping list.
