AMG Posted May 6, 2006 Share Posted May 6, 2006 I have fitted an omri oil temp gauge and cannot get it to read anything. I have fitted the probe, no problem, and fitted the wires i know correctly but now struggling for ideas of how to get it to read anything Wires at back of gauge: Orange Yellow Red Black White Wires on probe Orange Yellow Connected yellow and orange to the probe, black is ground, white is illumination. That leaves red which i thought was a positive in wire. Connected it to a known + and the needle on the gauge shoots to the top of the scale and stays there. Anyone have any ideas of how i can sort this out? Also connected the known + to the yellow wire and blew a fuse, oops. I am guessing that as the probe wires are the same colour as the wires on the gauge that they are correct Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
