Guest frazman
Hi All, Put the TT in for an MOT and it's failed on 1 bush in the N/Side Rear Upper Suspension Arm. The garage tell me I can't just replace the bush but have to buy the whole arm at approx £190. I've had a gander around come previous posts and there has been talk of sourcing the bushes from Japan - so i've e-mailed Nic and am waiting to hear back.... In the meantime can someone help me with the follwoing: 1, can i source a bush from anywhere in the UK to save delay from Japan 2, how much of a job will it be for the garage to fit the bush if I can 3, Failing the above - will the entire Upper susp. arm sourced from a UK Toyota Dealer fit a Jap TT? and is there anywhere cheaper to source the arm from if it does fit as above? I would also consider a second hand arm if anyone was breaking a supra? Many thanks for any help regards frazman
merckx
Not sure about the availability of a bush. Have a look in the parts for sale section , breaking 94 Supra. Maybe put an ad in the wanted section. You can buy all Jap spec parts from your local Toyota dealer. Cheapest place for a new arm would be from this dealer http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41383&highlight=manley Nic would be able to get one cheaper but you would have to wait a while. merckx
CJ posted this a while back, he lives in Oxfordshire . Steve Manley is the parts bloke at his local Toyota dealer, loads of people on here have bought parts from him. He'll post them to you. I have developed a good relationship with my local Toyota dealership (Inchcape at Kidlington, Oxford) and he is giving me prices that are way cheaper than anywhere else I have found in the UK (e.g. I just bought a full front glass windscreen including the sealers for under £200 inc VAT). He is happy to let all our members have the same discounted prices and will deliver anywhere in the country and he doesnt care if if it is a J-spec N/A / TT or a UK model. So if you want any OEM parts, give Steve Manley (Parts Manager) a call on 01865 291300 and mention my name (Colin Jones)

Or am i being a grumpy old bastard?[/quote Good point, may be someone should tell Steve Manley that the guy is not a member,so he pays the normal price. CJ did get this set up for club members after all. I am not grumpy just a bastard:innocent: If membership payment awaiting confirmation then sincere applogies, if not statement stands.
