Hello all,

I'm in the market for a Veilside kitted Supra Twin Turbo, just waiting for my Ibiza to sell then i'll have £9000 to spend so fingers crossed will find a good one.

Bit about myself...

Names Andy, i'm 22 from Cambridgeshire and work for Barclays Stockbrokers.

Previous car history...

First MG ZR120... kitted it up, air suspension, turbo conversion (from Rover 820Ti), stood me for £24000 (including buying the car) which I had Chav mag featured 3 times and cover car for Total MG Magazine (if interested i'll post a few pics on this thread?) Sold for £9500 not bad for a modified car.

Current car 1.8T Mk3 Ibiza Cupra which i'm selling now, this car I moved on to spending money on the engine rather than cosmetic looks and it runs 249bhp. Thats through Forge FMIC, Revo Remap, Ko3s Turbo, and other bits and bobs, etc.

Next car, as stated the Supra. Want something that looks good and aggressive as it stands but I can invest serious amounts into the engine. I've been in contact with Bonsai cars anyone had much dealing with this company?

Anyhow few months time i'm sure i'll be posting car pics and attending meets. Either way i'll be sticking around this site as i'm shocked at how much there is on it in way of information and i've managed to already take much note of things to be aware of etc.

I'm going to shut up now as I don't want to bore people with my first post :p

Welcome matey, I'm a newbie myself. Just saw your thread n thought I'd better do the same when I get a bit of time. Quick question or two for ya tho. My girlfriend just picked up a grey MG ZR 105+ on the 29th and wants to know of any good owner's club websites and the best places to get bits for them from ????? Cheers, maybe see you at the meets.

Yes i'll certainly come to the Cambs. meets, i've based in little village 5 miles from St.Ives.

I like the Veilside kit all be bit dated, but the kits pretty sweet to, i've considered buying a non-kitted Supra and then mixing and matching the parts I like,

On the MG front there is only really 2 sites worth joining and I got on with both really well.

There is ZRUnleashed.com which is a good laugh and close and friendly bunch lots of friendly banter so don't take any offence to people on there.

The other is Themgzr.co.uk much better source for information, help and advice but members are more mature and not quite as lively and up for a laugh but still friendly and a good bunch.

Any advise/help needed on ZR's just PM and ask mate chances are I can help or send someone who can. I'm always willing to help where I can. I'm sure i'll be asking lots of questions once i've the Supra :D

Guest maria

Hi all, just thought we had better introduce ourselves, wes and maria, we just recently purchased a supra thats kitted, we were with tesco insurance and that were taking £152 per month insurance from me, thats with 6 years no claims to, so i took the advice of contacting sky insurance and am now paying only £70.00 per month with every thing declared, so thanks for the info on sky.

Might be better to start a new thread to introduce yourselves, that way you can also post up some pics of your new Supra :Pics:

Cheers for the welcome everyone.

Maria I got a quote and mines £3200...

Thats due to age, 2 bans for speeding (110mph and 152mph in the Turbo ZR) and I should have 4 years no claims but its 1 year instead as I had to claim after I had a concrete block and alloy wheel chucked at the ZR late one night driving home and it ripped a wheel off and did £6000 damage.

However very soon i'm due another years no claims and that'll be another year without points as well so hoping i'll see that fall to £2500ish.

To be honest though I need to shop around it's only Ady Flux i've rang so far.
