JohnA
Thank God I decided to check before the start of the new week --- rear, driver's side, on close inspection it's got a screw in it. Didn't even look lopsided, or deflated. Scary, huh? As I do a lot of motorway miles every day, on occasion I give it some stick. This would lead to a rear blowout, probably losing the car and who knows what else.
Bobbeh
In the side of the tyre? Ones in the tread arnt too much to worry about, but no nails are nice
JohnA
no, middle of the tread. Tried to uncrew it to see if it seals, but nooooo Screwed it back in, lol. I can't really drive the car in this state, who are we kidding now?
Bobbeh
Hehe, can you get it plugged? Maybe a new tyre is in order if you dont want to go down that route. I've been there myself but thankfully the tyre didnt need replacing.
JohnA
I'm not sure, you think I can get it fixed? Will it be safe? It is a powerful RWD car after all.
chilli
sh1te, lucky you spotted it mate, just think there was a thread a short while back where a blow out lead to an accident...
JohnA
Yes, and pretty it wasn't. After a few miles on the M25, once I booted it tomorrow early morning it would overheat and *boom* Kaput. (that is if I didn't feel something wrong in the meantime of course)
