Soonto_HAS_soop
Buy a replica, shave off the ribs, fibreglass up the rear of the holes and fill over. LOL at thinking Trial would modify thousands of pounds worth of moulds for just a one off....

jazz1
well i was thinking of buying one or having it made by trial i dont know have to wait till they email me, but under the diffuser there are those 4 bits have you skimmed them off? Gazboy
Are those 'vanes' functional or aesthetic? I'd find out first before lopping them off. Not aimed at you Jazz, but it never ceases to amaze me how little some people regard aerodynamics on their 170mph car. I've seen back windows blown out and bonnets ripped off at speed- the forces are immense.
Dragonball
well i was thinking of buying one or having it made by trial i dont know have to wait till they email me, but under the diffuser there are those 4 bits have you skimmed them off? Trial will not make you one - the costs alone of modifying and/or producing a mold are immense Take a trip down to GVN and have a look at mine on the ramp and discuss with Victor the cost of getting these shaved off and filled It cant be that immense and certainly no way as expensive as geting a mold produced (if they come back with less than £5000 / if at all I would be amazed - and then you cant ship the thing anyway) If you want yours to be really 'top notch' this is not something to be done DIY at home - leave it to the professionals and not the 'cheapest option'

jazz1
i dont see there would be a problem skimming them off, my dad said he can easily do that as hes fixed holes in my veilside skirts before:rolleyes:
Dragonball
the lad that does the work on my car could do this no problems but as said before i would find out if its a wise move;) I would not recommend it - mine is fixed on sturdier than a sturdy thing in a sturdy place and I have no worries about the integrity (you can almost hang off the thing!) A fact remarked on by Ray when I pointed this out how they should be fixed on But then it was done correctly by professionals I trust Cutting off a majority of the rear section and re-fibreglassing it...mmmm...I wouldn't do it
