Ian C
Don't start, this is going to be a volatile enough thread as is I suspect. I'm speaking to George over email as well, seems he's been dragged into this by what appears to be a trader selling known 2nd hand parts as brand new. Could be quite serious, needs sorting out, so let's keep the chit chat down ta ToyotaTom - how did this transaction take place? Website order? Credit card payment? Any order confirmations? Or was it a cash deal down an alleyway? -Ian

Chipmunk
you could be right i know something too;) Sorry, but my original comment was in relation to the harness itself not the transaction involved here with parties concerned. This will be sorted over the weekend though with Tom & Paul

toyotatom
it looks like the harness that was on ebay a couple of weeks ago Does rather doesnt it. And if that was the case, then the person who tried to pass it for new and charge top dollar for it would be a bit out of order to say the least, agreed? Dave S
funny thing was the seller had a link on the description to a thread on this forum saying that it was all 'cut up'......and then got a bit aggressive when I made a reasonable offer for the 'cut up' harness..... chilli
hey what's so wrong with soldering in the footwell lol. more than that harness, what would be usefull would be some connectors that can be used for the break out signals so that new bits of kit can be easily plugs in and out, because as far as I can see that harness doesn't solve that problem at all? chilli
hmmm I see, but you still have to do all of that, this just means you can do it out of the footwell. I guess it leaves the stock loom alone which is one good thing, they do seem a touch pricey though to me for essentially some plugs and wire

We offer a £80 Discount on fitting RLTC if you buy the fields harness as it saves nearly 3 hours work.

This isn't a fields harness pro's and con's thread. Although "Con" might still be applicable. -Ian

Pete
Wait until he wires up his E-Manage Ultimate Owchie. It has to be said if I was to replace my ECU or piggy back I'd certainly use a fields harness. I'd consider the £200 as a standard part of the job. Still think they're expensive though

'reasonable offer' my arse - the aggressiveness was aimed at your supposed doing me a favour with this 'reasonable' offer after it had already been sold the issue here is with the transaction that took place after it was sold through Ebay anyway , as ToyotaTom did not purchase it from there and I repeat AGAIN , this is being dealt with today, via Ian C , Tom , Paul & myself
