Pixelfill
Just out of curiosity if you bought something online, from the UK, and you were told it would ship in a couple of days, how long would you expect it to take to arrive? Mike
michael
Did they say it would be posted withing a couple of days or that it would arrive with you in that time? What postage method? Were you in a rush for it? (things always take longer when you are)
hogmaw
competition means same day service is the norm these days, you should have in 2/3 days.

I was told it would ship in a couple of days. (on two seperate occasions) Hasn't been posted yet, believe it is to be ParcelFarce 24 competition means same day service is the norm these days, you should have in 2/3 days. - You'd think wouldn't you. merckx
Some sellers are complete idiots. How can they expect to receive repeat orders if they don't provide the service you expect the first time. Customer service is everything, everyone hates waiting.
Muffleman
Customer service is everything, everyone hates waiting. Unfortunately it's becoming more and more common, and therefore more accepted. This REALLY winds me up, if I've paid for something then I expect it asap, they'd soon start winging if you said you were gonna pay and didn't for a week. Paul
It amazes me the slack attitude of some people or companies, if you sell something and don't have it in stock then make this clear and give a realistic delivery estimate BEFORE taking someones money, if someone pays promptly for goods then get your arse into gear asap and make sure it's despatched, none of this old b*llocks about I'm busy, not had a chance etc. If people want to sell or trade then they have to be in a position to provide a reasonable service otherwise don't bother setting up yet another crappy little back street business so they can make a few pennies and show off by calling themselves Directors:) Oh, and if they make so little profit from something which makes them feel that getting the product despatched isn't so important or that they are doing you a favour isn't an excuse either. We don't care, we keep our side of the deal and pay up and demand to be treated with a little bit of respect. Paul
SuperSupra
I always expect it to take longer - possibly up to a week, that way I'm pleasantly surprised if it turns up before!
Pixelfill
Depends what it is. If I answered that you'd be able to work out who I'm talking about. It was definitely "in stock" when I paid for it though. and having just checked it still hasn't been dispatched Mike
terribleturner
Can you not cancel and order from someone else?? What's the reason it's not been dispatched yet??
Pixelfill
James, I'm beginning to think this might be an appropriate course of action. The item is second hand (with light use) so therefore cheaper than to buy brand new. Mike

Pixelfill
Pete, yeah I know what your saying, and this isn't off the shelf it's used and from what I can tell it was being cleaned up, so kinda bespoke I guess. The thing is it was supposed to be going for shipping a couple of days after the 9th of April. I gave it until the 20th before checking again, will be shipped on Mon/Tues was the response, guess what it's now Friday and I'm getting nowhere. Ian C
So say bollocks to it, give me my money back. And mean it. It works one way or the other and puts the situation back in your control. I make sure I never want something more than they want my money (Or if I do I don't let on ) -Ian

Originally told it was in stock, paid my money, still not complete and I have incurred costs by sending incorrect items back! Ian C
I use Nic for a lot of tuning parts now without even checking the prices elsewhere because of his service levels. What's the use in saving £10 if it doesn't bloody show up? -Ian

terribleturner
and their name is...? Darryl, you thinking who i'm thinking?? I recently made a purchase from a trader on here who had problems getting the stock from Japan, but item arrived when he said it would and even threw in a pack of sweets If there's a proper reason why it's late then fine, but being fobbed off is rubbish. I hope your making a big saving to be muched about.
