SupraStar 3000
Spent most of the day at our local surgery and emergency walk in centre with mum Dads away working and luckely I happend to be home when whilst walking down the road she fell over a banged her head on some broken glass. She only had a small gash over her eye 30mm long but the cut went right down to her skull . REALLY unpleasant to see lots of blood but lucky I managed to stop it with alittle pressure and a tissue. 5 stitches later, tetanus jab, pain killers and she ok. The nasty bit is her spectacles are totally fcuked. Massive scratch right across the lense. Makes me shudder to think what would have happeded without her glasses on. Take care people

Pete
How unlucky to land on some broken glass? Head injuries can be tricky things - keep an eye on her dude. I whacked my head once and cut it open. Wandered around the town centre looking for help with blood trickling fown my face. Needless to say the town centre management found me, impounded my car to their basement and called an ambulance. Whilst at hospital I fell asleep (the last thing you should allow a head injury patient to do apparently), woke up much later in a cubicle on my own - felt better and walked home! I also split my head open after trying to post it through a letter box drunk one night. Threw up all over the hospital - stiches etc. Nothing too serious. I guess these events may explain a few things. Hope she feels better soon. On the upside - there's loads of great glasses offers on at the mo - buy one designer pair, get another free! SupraStar 3000
Thanks guys, Yea Pete, I have my eye on her. Nasty business head injuries. I should know, I've had a few. Cheers mate
pistonbroke
Sounds like you did a blinding job of taking care of her though mate. A lot of people panick like crazy at the sight of a loved one injured. I see it all the time at car accidents. But you held it together, well done, you should feel proud. SupraStar 3000
Thanks mate. The adrenaline must have made me think straight! I was surprised how such a deep cut seemed to stop bleeding relatively quickly. I expected the blood loss to be much more.
Prof. Monkey
edd, I can sympathise with your mum at the moment. Hope you get her sorted soon. Even when we are big butch Men, there is just something about our Mums that makes us worry so........ Get her some flowers, a nice DVD and some chocs and she will be on the road to recovery.
