if you get 780degC post turbo, is that safe or not...? :blink:

 

So I guess from two stories we could say its not a common problem probably considering the amount of people running EGT's.

 

Ian I would say 780 is just ok, + 200 (tops..) = 980, as I said I was told 150, so that would mean 930, I believe if your hitting the 1000 then things can start to melt........

With mine in the manifold I see approx 600deg on a 70lepton cruise and approx 700deg on a 100lepton cruise.

Thats strange, when at 80mph mine reads 600 dead, and thats post turbo, your seeing 600 at 70 pre turbo..........???

Would be interesting to know what your AFR is as mine is approx 14.7 - 14.3AFR, do you have any cats in place, are you still on stock tubbies?

 

EDIT: just read your sig, you on hybrids with full decat.
