Tricky-Ricky
i put mine here just to be safe, i heard the stories of cracking probed too Is that a wideband lambda? if so have you ever had any overheat problems?
SupraJames
it takes no fitting really mate, drill a hole, tap it, screw in adaptor, fit probe ! sadly i dont have a tap, plus would not be totally happy about drilling holes in my manifold. I know a bit about engines, just not enough..!
uk-rich
Is that a wideband lambda? if so have you ever had any overheat problems? no,no overheating probs, was in the market for some new gauges and that was on my list since i went single
Suprash
if you get 780degC post turbo, is that safe or not...? So I guess from two stories we could say its not a common problem probably considering the amount of people running EGT's. Ian I would say 780 is just ok, + 200 (tops..) = 980, as I said I was told 150, so that would mean 930, I believe if your hitting the 1000 then things can start to melt........ Suprash
With mine in the manifold I see approx 600deg on a 70lepton cruise and approx 700deg on a 100lepton cruise. Thats strange, when at 80mph mine reads 600 dead, and thats post turbo, your seeing 600 at 70 pre turbo..........???
