DannoSupra
Went to halfords today, sorry... Ripspeed. to get some speakers for my doors, found fusion one's, component 17cm £69, tidy!! Asked one of the "experts" to get me a set. Great.. went to pay. Got couple other bits, but not important, Anyway.. got home, opened the box, hmmmmm these look a bit small for 17cm. They were 13cm... Of course, by the time i got back to halfords to change them, they were closed. i couldn't even keep them to put in the back. BTW what is the speaker size in the back??? DannoSupra
rear speakers are approx 17cm What u mean by approx? Once you buy 17cm there's a bit of modding involved??
Homer
What u mean by approx? Once you buy 17cm there's a bit of modding involved?? Could be wrong, but I think that no aftermarket speakers fit exactly on the rears. I know my Focals had to have new holes drilled in the mounts. The fronts are a nightmare though, you need custom brackets to properly fit decent size aftermarket speakers.

zabe_1
what do you guys think of this set up, im thinking alpine spr 176a 6.5" components for the fronts ALPINE SPR-17LP coaxials for the rear or instead alpine type r 6*9's some type of 4channel amp for these speakers then for subs 2 12" Alpine type r's (old ones 300rms each) and an amp to run them im just looking for general advice if u think this would sound good or not, ive alread got the bass end, just the front speakers and rear ones, ive heard stories about 6*9's and subs not going well together etc, due to displacement of air or something, plus dont think if id want to hole up the parcel shelf. anyway just some initial thoughts would be nice cheers
