Bobbeh
im not sure why you bought stuff for a car you dont have insurance for? So is the Supra insured at all right now? by anyone? If not and something happens to it you're knackered. How will it get new tax and mot if you're not insured?
lockys96
Im third party mate, Admiral:D....students best mate they are! Do admiral insure FMIC? You seem to have 8mods, this means your insurance is void, as your only allowed 6, right........ lol
Shaun.
Got to feel for you Jazz mate ... you seem to be a sterotypical youngster. Lots of energy and ideas but not thinking things through before spending your cash, not blaming you mate as we have all be there (well, us old ones have!) Hope you get it all sorted soon and properly insured. Shaun.

jazz1
thanks guys its just i could of insured the car but sadly i was thinking too much about looks. Well now iv started my job i should get good pay and i can afford it but it will have to wait until my money builds up and thats another 3/4 months by then summer is over. Oh well my mistake i should of insured the car rather then spending it on the kit, but thanks guys

Homer
il probably cancel it and just insure the escort but can i cancel it as i only took it out yesturday You should have no problems cancelling since you were obviously badly advised by their sales staff. If they argue or impose any terms, speak to a manager right away and explain the poor advice you were given. Regading insurance... I'm not sure what stage you are at with the body mods, but if you are desperate to drive it this summer, couldn't you just sell on the kit you've bought? Sure, you will lose a few £ but it might not work out too bad long term.
Thorin
er don't you have to be over 23 for motor traders insurance? (I believe my Dad's actually states over 25) This whole thing sounds fishy again to me. edit: "Please note cover is only available for bonafide motor traders over the age of 23 years. Proof of trading may be required in certain instances."
Stevo
As with any financial agreement, there should be a 14 day 'cooling off' period. So you shouldn't have any probs cancelling it anyway.

If thats true then your lucky. My dad was going to do insurance on his Puma for anybody to drive (for me and bro) till he was told how much it was
jazz1
I don't believe you. lol you dont have to but only i know if i was taken to court and i was, my dad owns his own garage the policy clearly states any person but now they request names to be put on the trade insurance. They quoted recently me, brother and my dad 3k to drive any car and for an extra 400 pounds we could drive any car without mot and road tax. The only problem with trade is it is certain times to drive vehicles
Thorin
and for an extra 400 pounds we could drive any car without mot and road tax. Only on trade plates.
jazz1
yeah thats it on trade plates, anyway iv cancelled the insurance and just insured the escort as the bastards told me afterwards that i could only drive the supra if someone has third party insurance on it, anyways i guess il insure the supra in a couple of months once i have enough money from my job:)

Your right to wait though mate, you really do need to have a car like the supra insured properly.
jazz1
thanks mate and your right to i just thought that would of been a short cut to insure it quickly but i guess its best to wait rather than rushing things, thanks again:)
