Homer
Jason didn't post any specific but did say it was an absolute pain is the arse to do. Lots of cutting (inc the boot floor) was needed. Side exit would need similar work due to the low lever of the sills.... unless you made a slim box section pipe to tuck under the sill (which would probably sound crap)
b_have
OR It Is Really Crap (side exit screamer burnt my plastic skirt)
mr keef
To be honest its very easy to make a side exit,It all depends on where you want it to come out,I spoke to a guy at a custom exhaust shop and they said,it wouldnt be a problem at all. But!!!!!!!!!!i had a side exit on my gt turbo, and imho it wasnt what i would call a nice sound, more like a kinda rally car pops!!bangs!!loud as hell!! dont think it suits the supe. jon_dragon
Im getting a new exhaust from exhausts uk tomorrow and was contemplating a side exit like whats on the mclaren SLR but at the back of the side skirt
j_jza80
Just remember to take them the video clip of the boost logic car for inspiration
Kilps
If you had an exhaust like the SLR (i.e. in front of the doors), surely you'd fill the cabin with exhaust fumes every time you drove with the windows down? Mine (decat) smells bad enough with the exhaust at the back!!
