American car sales

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know of any websites for companies or garages that specialise in selling old american muscle cars, Cameros and Chargers and the like. Tried searching on google but no real luck. I'm interested to see what some of these cars go for. Maybe some of you have had old yanks in the past and know of some one that sells them.:D

I know quite a few, but depends what you're looking for. Are you after new or old? Any car in particular?

You mention chargers & camero's so presumanbly you're after some 60's models. You do know how much the later 60's ones go for now don't ya? ;)

Yeah, I know you're looking at a fair bit of cash these days...I'm curious to know what you'd pay for, say, an early 70s cuda, a dodge challenger, or a first or second geration camaro. These are the kind of cars I fell in love with as a kid.

Any half decent early 70's cuda or challenger will cost you big, big money now. Even rough examples will go for over $10k in the states, but these are completely impractical to restore in the UK (parts!).

Check this site as a guidline for the good quality new imports: http://www.musclecarimports.co.uk/

Also be sure to check the muscle car mags at whsmiths (and other quality newsagents ;) ), they're great for finding owners clubs, meets and car for sale.

PS: I have mentioned it before, but I passed up the chance of a 73 cuda 340 AND a fastback 67 stang.. for the same price as I paid for the Supra... much as I love the supra, I should have gone for those two babies, I'd be a rich(er) man now :banghead:

You must be kicking your self Darryl, i did a similar thing about 10 years ago. Was going to buy a 69 Camaro that needed paint for 1.5k, but bought a GSX-R instead.

There's some nice cars on that link though. These are the kind of things that i like.

http://www.musclecarimports.co.uk/BELVEDERE/BELVEDERE_2.htm - Belvedere

The camaro is still state side, and i haven't read the gumph to see what it costs to get it over here yet, but the price doesn't seem too bad!
