LeeT
Finished my 6spd onversion and what a difference. i was bored with 3 years with the auto so fancied a change. only took around 20 relaxed hours from start to finish and that included me getting p*ssed and chatting to mates etc whilst i was doing it. Apologies to JohnK, the bits turned up and i just went for it and didnt really give anything else a thought. sorry mate:rolleyes: just need to do a bit of road tuning to get her ready for the france trip now:D

LeeT
OOOOO Was it an expensive modification? Something I fancy doing but I've always thought it was MEGA bucks cost me less than a grand:D whilst im on the subject, i must say a big thanks to DarrenjAdams for sorting me out a UK 6spd ECU and throwing me in a free pilot bearing and advice, lucifer for supplying me with a free dash panel, and Tlicense for a few tips on the wiring side of things
DannoSupra
i think i'll be looking into Manual Conversion soon!! any hard times doing the job/ or fiddly things?
LeeT
i think i'll be looking into Manual Conversion soon!! any hard times doing the job/ or fiddly things? it was all really straight forward and i had no issues with anything. the only part i didnt care for much was cutting the sub tunnel as i ended up getting my angle grinder in there to finish the cutting as it was a bit tight in there. a bit brutal but it worked out perfectly

terribleturner
A grand?? Is the stock gearbox componets or uprated items??
LeeT
How are you finding the gearbox ? gearbox is great. i changed all the oils etc when fitting everything. i do have a slight difficulty going into reverse but when i fitted the box i noticed a completely split bush on the selector assembly and i wouldnt be surprised if this was down to that
LeeT
A grand?? Is the stock gearbox componets or uprated items?? stock box, HKS twin plate clutch with lightened flywheel, diff, prop and drive shafts. i sourced things like gearknob, dash panel etc individually. its surprising how much you can save if you're not in a rush:)
