pistonbroke
I just thought I'd put some info up here advising people about a little fault I found today that could have spelled huge financial repairs for my car. I bought a chrome rad pipe for my TT, off of a member on here that had previously purchased it from Miami-GT. I went to fit the pipe today and noticed that all over the inside of the pipe, was metal filings and chunks, they coated the whole surface of the inside of the pipe. If I were to fit it without cleaning it out first, it would have meant certain death for my water pump. The filings and small chunks probably came from when the pipe was being cut and polished. I just thought I'd give you a heads up. Please don't think this is a pop at Miami-GT, I just thought I'd let people know for their own assurance. paul mac
good feedback there mate, i personally would not use a chrome pipe i know the coolant has anti-corrosion propertys but its just something to potentialy rust and the chrome flake off, i got a stainless pipe
