Chrome rad pipe (CAUTION)

I just thought I'd put some info up here advising people about a little fault I found today that could have spelled huge financial repairs for my car.

I bought a chrome rad pipe for my TT, off of a member on here that had previously purchased it from Miami-GT. I went to fit the pipe today and noticed that all over the inside of the pipe, was metal filings and chunks, they coated the whole surface of the inside of the pipe. If I were to fit it without cleaning it out first, it would have meant certain death for my water pump. The filings and small chunks probably came from when the pipe was being cut and polished.

I just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Please don't think this is a pop at Miami-GT, I just thought I'd let people know for their own assurance.

I dont do chrome pipes mate - only polished stainless...

Normally these come back pristine inside and out - but I will make sure that anything I send out is double checked in the future to make sure it is fine

Thanks for the heads up...and sorry for any inconvenience
