Green Peace
My Central locking...was not locking the other day... It was when we had that heavy rain.... It would unlock but not lock and occasionally by surprise it was working again. (never happened before on any Supra I've owned) I thought I know I'll stop by "JEM" thats the so called Japanese Import wing of Jemca Toyota. They took a five minute look at the car (well a glance!) and decieded I needed NEW switches. I said are you absolutley sure....they said YES WE ARE. How much ???????? ................£158 including labour. I said why so expensive??????????? They said........." Coz its an expensive car" Any way spoke to Chris (TRD3000GT) that day and he had same problem, he said its the rain leaking through the siles...happens when it rains really hard.... Its sorted now thanks Chris for saving me from spending £158 to Jem for nothing. Posted this up just in case anyone has similiar problem in the hope that they don't end up paying money to get something fixed or replaced that dosn't need fixing or replacing. "Its expensive because its an expensive car" that kind of comment dosn't inspire much confidence does it...bless em

Fifty
Hi I have had a problem unlocking the car with the fob today, it will lock and arm fine; also disarms fine but I have to open door with the key. Seems like it must have got wet somewhere as you say above. What did you do to sort this out. It has been real wet recently. Also the indoor switch will lock but not unlock - I guess its better this way round than everyone elses prob as least it locks and arms. It did work again momentarily then stopped again - help appreciated or maybe It will dry out lol

TRD3000GT
I have an almost new drivers side switch pack the £150 jobby . Its normally this that packs in Its yours for £60. Its the switch pack with central locking, windows and window lock. Simply remove old and connect the new. If its not this then u will need to get all the wiring checked. Thats a PAIN! But when I replaced my switch pack it 100% solved the problem. C. Bugger packed up again guess its just so damp. Any other ideas?
Fifty
Chris Thx for that ; I was aware you had this after "search". When it stops raining (if it ever does) I will take the card off and check the switch and get back to you. Unfortunately car is not garaged and its just too wet. That is a very good offer. thanx.
