Possible gear box problem

K guys, need your help.

For the past two weeks now when I start the Sup up and push down on the go predal the car judders like as if its wheelspins and I get a lot of vibrations thru the front of the car.

The tonight, for no apparent reason it wouldn't knock into first gear until it reached abot 4000rpm. Just wouldn't bite.

Now I had it serviced in February by toyota, who said they had replaced the suto gearbox fluid. When I checked this after driving around for about 10 minutes I took the dipstick out and the fluid was way above the marker for where is should have been when running hot.

A friend suggested it sounds like theres something wrong with the torque convertor. Unfortunatly not being mechanically minded i really am not sure whats going on.

If it is the auto box thats the problem anyone know how much this might cost to fix?

Not sure if Ed knows how to or not. But I would expect that he does.

Even so I would be interested knowing what the problem is.
