bignum
its a bit close to 8 so youll have to rush, dot 3 will mix with 5.1, the only 1 that doesent mix is dot 5 .
Guest mk47
hi m8 jus got back from halfords.. well the guy confused me when i got there because he says it cant mix with silicon based fluid and i dont know whats in mine at the min..so didnt end up buying it - just wondering is there any way to find out if its silicon based or is it best to just get the whole thing drained and top up fresh? was thinkin of doin that when i service in 2 months time
SimonB
DOT5 is the silicon stuff, DOT5.1 is not. Very very unlikely to have DOT5 in there, nobody in their right mind would use it.
