Getrag
The emergency flare. Threw mine away, probably best not to have a 12 year old firework in the footwell

MrAngry
I took my flare in to work and let it off with the fire crew nearby just in case :flame:They are quite impressive It isn't the type that heads skywards! I am suprised that they aren't pulled out of the cars before going on the boat.

RobSheffield
its a legal requirement in Japan to have a flare, much like a warning triangle. if you break down, set up the flare to warn others

Mike M
Cool, Maglite holder is a good idea just the right sort of size. Have to admit i would never have guessed that it used to hold a flare. Thanks Mike

squiffy
yeah i had a bag of the things from when i worked at an import garage, the boss said to take them out of all the cars so they just went in my boot, beats a sparkler on fireworks night! SupraStar 3000
don't let them off unless your prepared to explain to a japanese helicopter pilot it wasn't a emergency and you don't need the coastguard. I use mine to hold a fire extinguisher
