Isn't peak power at 5800rpm (although my dyno sheet shows 6200rpm)???

Don't know how the shape of power curve affects it at those speeds.

I've only hit the 155limiter a few times, never went to top it without the TRAC fuse. Maybe if we go to Germany...

Being an auto it's not good for the engine to have the fuse off, the gearshifts are harsh.

pmsl here's the follow up... he's starting to piss me off now:

------------------------------------------------------------------

Different versions

Im not talking about "your" car - but the standard car you buy when you walk into a dealership - last model was made in 2002 and selling for 22,620 (only)

£50,000 is laughable - I now tease you - you could buy Aston martins - porches and true super cars for that price ^^ - cars that would destroy yours and mine put together

Claire 50,000 is not just getting silly I think we should stop as you just embarrassed yourself :D

------------------------------------------------------------------

p.s. yeah I know 50k is slightly off but not far off

The cheaper Clio 182 is better, as it's almost as fast and can actually go around corners. Insider knowledge says the V6 handling is really really poor, and the engine was a last minute panic decision when the original choice fell through.

I'd happily laugh in his face at his assertions that a Clio isn't a chav car and it's faster than a Supra :D Berk.

I can tell you from experience that the 182 can not keep up with a Supe for love nor money, nearly killed it trying.

Just go back and quote a UK price, not fair to compare Jap prices. I take it English is not his first language?

Just sounds like a complete idiot, mate.

The lack of respect for the Supra just smacks of a a total lack of knowledge. Here at my work there are some other nice cars:

One guy has just got a BMW M-Coupe. It matches me in a straight line, but has the edge over me in the twisties and from a stationary start.

One guy has an Elise. It's not even close in a straight line, but again, he'll kill me in the bends (he's a damn sight better driver than I am too :( ).

One other guy has a heavily modded Evo VII. I can beat him once we're over 100, but apart from that it's all his.

Another guy here races a Caterham 7. He's vanished into the distance before I've even thought about pressing the accelerator!

There's a few others too with Scoobies, Porsches, M BMWs, etc.

Some of the cars here are faster than mine, some are slower. Some handle better than mine, some handle worse. Some are more expensive than mine, some are cheaper. Some look prettier than mine.....(actually - no - I'll take that back. Mine IS the best looking car in the car park! :D ). Some of these guys drive better than I do, some don't.

But my point is that even with all of these comparisons, all these guys have total appreciation for mine and eachothers cars - what they're capable of, what they were designed for, etc. because these guys all know what they're talking about. They love going for a drive in my car and I enjoy drives in theirs because we're all basically car fans, not CLUELESS KNOB-JOCKEYS!

Just to upset you all a bit more and hopefully get a challenger:

------------------------------------------------------

Answer = I would win

Why ?

Because mine is faster

Because mine is top speed faster

Because mine corners better

And we agree on this BEFORE both cars have ANY I repeat ANY mods of ANY sorts

Factory built vs Factory built

Winner = the V6

So - if we add 800bhp to both - the mine would still win

Why ?

Because 220+800 = 1020 (Supra)

Because 255+800= 1055 (V6)

As you can see its more - its maths - its fact

NOW - the ONLY thing that could make a difference is the human racing the car - me or you etc

I might be better than you and so win much easier - or you could be better than me - but that's NOT about the car - which is what we are talking about

Verdict - it looks nicers - it costs more - it goes faster - its worth more second hand - its more unique - it wins stock - it wins modded

Oh and apparently the TT is 250bhp... I was robbed then!

Then he comes back and says the twin turbo was only 250bhp.... someone making uneducated guesses here?

I think we could pass my car off as stock, after all it just has some aftermarket wheels and body kit. Stock tubbies etc, it's virtually stock.

I'll happilly destroy it, and just smile and nod when he says the supra is 250bhp :D that will make the victory all the more shocking to him.

:rlol: :rlol: :rlol: :rlol:

So he's gone from saying his car is much better than yours and can beat it so therefore he should be in your girlfriends pants! ;)

To saying that stock cars with no mods and same driver; his is better......... than an NA!!

He's a bit :drag:

 :haha:

Just go and punch him in the eyeball.
