warning light

I went for a test drive today in my first supra it was a 93 sz with sport suspension 18 inch alloys and a one off stainless exhaust. The problem is a warning light came on when i was returning it i was hooked till then.It was a triangle shaped light in the centre of the dash what could it mean? The guy who owns it is working offshore and his girlfriend said it comes on when you hit 55.The speedo only goes to110 mph but she said that it had been converted so that the kmh reading is now the mph reading.I loved the car i hope its not a serious problem.I cant imagine what a TT would be like.I hope somebody can help.

I get the same problem with mine (was thinking it might be something to do with the bonnet sensor-as my bonnet doesn't seem to lock down on the o/s)

and once you reach around them speeds it starts to lift a bit causing the light to come on.Thats my theory..

The warning light at 55-60mph is a give-away for an active spoiler fault. Does the car have an active spoiler? Is there a button on the dash for it? If so try pressing the 'auto-off' button and see if it still comes on.

All other symptoms point to a dodgy conversion. Replace it with the proven THOR converter and delimiter, you'll avoid all normal errors and have the speed sensitive power steering work correctly too ;)
