Darren
Just a quick question! What are the preferred settings for RLTC usage? Do you guys just stick to the Wet and Dry settings etc or utilise the 5%, 10% settings alot and in what conditions? Any advice gratefully received to keep me out of the hedge and on the road! Thanks, Darren
Matt Harwood
Personally, I use the wet setting when its... wet, the dry setting when it's a bit damp, and 10% in the dry. I've used 20% on an airfield and it was excellent, but you need a lot of space to apreciate it properly.
far
Same as Matt really - Wet when its raining. When its moist:eek: or a little damp I tend to switch it over to Dry. Most of the time I drive on 10% had it on 20% a few times but after some pant browning moments I thought it would be safer to leave it on 10.I will venture into 20% terrotory again when its warmer and I am more confident in my abilities at WOT.Maybe after I have done a track day
Willson
I usually use 10 % wet 15% dry Generally, I find the 'Wet' setting when it's wet pretty boring, Unless it's really chucking it down Or when racing 4wd vehicles in the wet Personal preference though. Darren
Cheers for the replies so far guys. I've been using wet and dry but I obviously need to experiment with 10% and 20% to get the most out of the technology!
Barry
Wet = Snow or driving rain. Dry = Normal rain or standing water. Usually on 10 or 20. 10 if its a cold evening or over winter, 20+ in the summer. Switch it off for those 'cheeky' moments.!!!
SkyJawa
Wet in the wet Dry in the damp or dry 10+ if I'm having a bit of a "drive" and after some fun, as otherwise it cuts in too early - especially on roundabouts
SimonB
Same here, wet when it's a monsson, 5% in the wet and 20% in the dry usually, but I find it allows too much slip in a straight line compared to cornering, so I'm going to change my straight line override thingy when I get round to borrowing my mate's laptop... Willson
Yeah I find that too Simon. While quite funny, it does get shockingly out of line when that second turbo comes in. I'll be interested to hear how you go with changing the setup

Roy
err ... i have mine on FULL wet ALL the time ...
ad500
Usually 15% in dry wheather or light wetness. Had it on wet setting the other day during normal rain, suprisingly enough i span the wheels in 1st, 2nd and 3rd... the 3rd gear spin was about 65mph, luckily on a dual carrigeway, unluckily in heavy traffic, just seemed to go pearshaped. Terminator
Usually 20% 15% and in the summer 5% in summer rain. On cold roads below 10 degrees air temp 10% and 5% and Wet in rain. But right now it is not working so it is switched off. If you are getting wheel spin at low slip level setting there is something wrong as it should cut more and more to stop the spin. Mine is not cutting at all.

It does cut in normally, i think there might have been something on the road, its usually very good.

But that it what is for, if you hit some area with much less grip the wheels spin and RL should do its magic. I have done a 0-100mph WOT in standing water with RLTC set to wet and it was amazing the car was totally controllable all the way. The way my RL is behaving now with the low grip levels I am staying off number two unless conditions are good. I have almost lost it twice recently.
