RedM
Is it possible to download Google vids to a hard drive? Tried that thing Jake was on about the other day and just get an unplayable file type error.

RedM
Do you have to let the video load in Google Video first? I've just 'downloaded' a clip the runs for 1hr 15mins in under a second. Not even going to bother running it.
chilli
exactly, think they are the gpl files, like links to the online video, not the video itself
Guest gzaerojon
i've not tried it on google vids but i normally play something right through then check temp internet files and do a "list by date" and look for the file that way
DamanC
i *think* you can save them as *.mpg4 's which should play in your average player
Seb
First up, download Google player. Next, click the download video button on Google Video, it opens in Google player, let it load all the way to the end before closing it, and it will be saved in a folder created wherever you saved Google player to. Now you can watch your video in Google player whenever you want.
Steviekid
Sorry to bring back an old thread but I can't get this to work. Tried what Seb said above but there's nothing in the google folder. I'd like to download a video then burn it so it works in a DVD player (I've got Nerovision for this bit) but getting nowhere fast! Can anyone help!?? Seb
Weird, I just downloaded some Isle of Man TT stuff like this today. Have you let the video that opens in the pop up video player load all the way? You don't have to watch it, just make sure the grey bar that shows video position goes all the way to the end before you close it. If that's still not working, than I'm stumped. Yeah, it was that 9/11 conspiracy film. Left it so it loaded and played all the way and got nothing in the folder What sort of file should it be? Seb
Should be a GVI file. Google player makes a folder where it saves videos - mine save themselves to a Google folder in the My Videos folder in My Documents. Have you looked there?
