REAS suspension - all you want to know!

If you don't already know, this is fitted to some Sept 97 and later cars.

 

RZ and SZ-R models have REAS

 

RZ-S and SZ don't have it.

Optional, might have been standard on the VVTi RZ I think. Here's the pic of them that Ian C described as the pic of the heater matrix change procedure...

There are fluid lines, like brake lines leading away from the bottom of each shock absorber. I think also at the back of the engine bay down near the gearbox there is a central reservior/cylinder/damper that all the lines from the individual shocks lead to.

Also on the one i'm talking about the shocks are red as in the picture above.
