lambertpig
have just fitted my uk 17"s instead of the 19"s. have new goodyear eagle f1s on rear and newish f1s on front. how many miles bedding in before i can proper judge the handling benifit?. have done 75 so far but dont think high speed handling is much improved although car does feel a bit more right in the bends
Wez
I use to always have F1s on the front and Khumos on the rear. I have just replaced the rears with F1s and done a couple of hundred miles in them, they are much better, well feel better to me anyway All on stock 17" rims. Nic
You should get the camber, toe in, tracking, etc. adjusted after fitting new wheels, this should hopefully make a big difference. If it doesn't, then worth get the car on a ramp and check all the suspension bushes and joints for wear/play. If it's still on the original suspension arms, then they'll probably be well past their best by now. If you do find any worn suspension parts and need some help, I have a full price list of all the parts needed to completely overhaul the suspension and can save £100's over Toyota UK dealer prices. lambertpig
well the tyres are now fully bedded in and "wow" the car now handles as i imagined it would .it was ok before but i drive hard and now the car is fantastic at any speed. got up at 6.20 am this morning for a high speed blast 165 at my local test strip no wobbles or worries at all. grip is better exiting corners and the car just flows. in dry weather it feels like it could match almost anything. so the powers sorted, the handling is sorted and the car is mint im well chuffed. still a bit undecided on the dark wheels though may go back to silver if i get flush sometime.
