BROARDSIDE
i have read in some places it should take 400+ bhp best bet is go to a auto gearbox specialist !
Prof. Monkey
On the NA-T forum the figure quoted is higher than 300rwhp, I have seen figures of 500 being mentioned. Do not know the accuracy of those figures though! The TT box, model number has the suffix "E", what difference are they to the NA box?
Prof. Monkey
I ran 350 rwhp through my stock auto trans for about a year. It was hitting the rev limiter before it shifted when at WOT, but otherwise it worked ok. With ~300 rwhp it should work well for quite a while - Just quoted off NA-T forum I stand corrected! Do not know the accuracy of those figures though! The TT box, model number has the suffix "E", what difference are they to the NA box? A340 / A340E / A343E the numbers don't seem to mean much. The box is basically called the A340E regardless of the fact that there are differences depending on what vehicle it's in.
