Pete
I've done it. After years of slobbing in front of PCs and the TV I've decided it really is time to get a bit fitter. I can no longer fool myself into thinking that sex is a good enough subsitute for an hour down the gym and that "running up the stairs" counts. A new JJB sports gym centre opened here in Jan and it's all nice and sparkly, so last Sunday I bought a new pair of trainers (not done that in 15 years!) and signed up to physical pain and torture. My induction is tomorrow morning at 07:30am ! If I make it past that I'll be doing well. Will see how it goes. At the very least they have a sauna and bubbly water jobbies. Look at it this way, if you don't go to the gym you have wasted all that money. Therefore its motivation.

I can no longer fool myself into thinking that sex is a good enough subsitute for an hour down the gym Well it is, if you're continually at it for an hour A new JJB sports gym centre opened here in Jan and it's all nice and sparkly, so last Sunday I bought a new pair of trainers That reminds me the last time I bought a pair of trainers (in the sale) from JJB sports. The shop assisistant asked what type of activities I wanted them for, I replied "Walking from the house, to the car" He didn't look impressed
Charlotte
The shop assisistant asked what type of activities I wanted them for, I replied "Walking from the house, to the car" He didn't look impressed why do you need trainers for that?? Pete
The shop assisistant asked what type of activities I wanted them for, They did that to me too! They asked how I walked and mentioned two styles. I said I'd just joined the gym downstairs and I needed something that wasn't supidly expensive just to be cool but would be ok for a couple of hours a week. I got some white New Balance ones or something. They're british at least.

Ian W
for the gym your New Balance trainers are fine, Pete. may not be cool but they'll certainly do the job without breaking the bank!! i own a pair of Asics for going to the gym and have lasted about three years and still look new!! (could be a reason for that mind you )
Charlotte
i only wear adidas , quality , never comprimise on what you put on your feet . i know they can be expensive , but you get what you pay for and the satisfaction that the 8yrs old that made them can feed their family for a week. IDO
New Balance are fine mate, i've used them for running for years.. I use them for all my road work (running) they are made for exactly what you need. Whats the point of spending silly money on trainers if you using them for the gym! as long as they are right for what you want them.. Not saying that i haven't been known to spend a bit on trainers, but if your not buying them to impress or wearing them all the time.. why not buy a pair that is made purely for sports??
