It's not that sort of diesel spill. More like when parked overnight it leaves a small patch on the driveway. Maybe as it depressurises or something.

When it runs it doesn't leak, I wouldn't be driving around like that FFS:Pling:

sorry yes... the plan was to sell both the rover and the almera and get an estate... sadly now I'm 1k out of pocket so that will have to wait!!

I like the last generation of Skodas. (VW TDI engines)

After 3-4 years prices are rock-bottom, build quality is decent and 55mpg as a bonus.

Street cred is also nil, very handy for vandals and theives.

 

What more can you ask from a runabout?

Depends on mileage/location/condition

 

a couple of years ago I drove a friend to go and test-drive one, I ended up liking it and haggling for him.

It was £7K at the time, but that was 1.5year old car at the time. Nowadays they should be around the 3-4K mark I'd think. Aircon, the lot.

It had surprisingly good midrange, the little POS. 100bhp, but felt faster than that on backroads.
