rob_g
Just a quick question.... Would just a aftermarket backbox fit a standard exhaust system? or would i need the whole system?? cheers Rob
Ian W
you can get backboxes only mate....CW was selling a HKS one a day or two ago and you can also get the Blitz NUR as a backbox.
ChrisSZ
I think you'd need to go for the whole system mate - the standard rear box has two inlets.

The box I am selling WILL NOT just bolt up to part of the stock exhaust. There are back boxed that WILL, but there's little point as the rest of the stock system is pretty restrictive, too. JODY T
I think you'd need to go for the whole system mate - the standard rear box has two inlets. Do the twin turbo exhausts have two inlets into the backbox? I know my N/A does...
ChrisSZ
As far as I can work out - yes. There is a split just after the cats which come together again at the back box. Here ya go
nige
the blitz nur spec s has twin outlets and bolts straight on, may have one for sale in a couple of weeks.
NeoFuture
hmm why does the system split and rejoin thats going to cause a presure differncial at the back box, only reason i can see is to improve sound not performance to create resonance ! To give extra ground clearance by using two smaller diameter pipes, and to reduce noise, the more pipe length and bends the quieter a system is. rob_g
so if i was to get just a backbox, would it be much louder? and would i notice much difference if i got a whole system, performance wise? Rob
