I am not paying myself the membership fee as I am not going to pay to an organisation who doesn't give out any clarification on what happens with the money. Branners, we've met in past and I do know you are ok, but if someone asks a question it's often better to just reply than to close the thread and say we are all childs and must listen to the big daddy. A club is made by the members. If we pay, we must see what happens with the money. Anyways, this was not meant as a rant topic, it was just a general goodbye to anyone. Have fun. The thread was closed as it was there to let people know about the membership reminder system, not to answer your question. If you had PMd any of the moderators we could have discussed it. The whole accounts thing has been done to death. We receive absolutely no payment for what we do here so the club funds pay to run the club. We spend more than enough time on here without having to spend time making the accounts public and then dealing with the whinges afterwards. As was seen recently with Obiwan, we have rules and we stick to those rules. If you feel £10 is too much to pay to be part of the club from which you will no doubt have benefited then thats a shame. None of us mods have ever been promised money for what we do. It has always been a case that we volunteer our time because we enjoy it. I've said it before, I love standing back from the PC and looking at the forum and all the fancy features we have and thinking "I created that" . Yes, sad I know! I'd also like to add that Arnout actually got his first year membership free because we didn't have all the payment options setup and at the time he was unable to pay via the method that was available. Then when we sorted all the membership payment options out there was no excuse for him not to pay, but when it came around to his renewal he refused to just like today. He made pretty much the same excuse, clouding the fact he doesn't see why he should have to pay with some rubbish about the mods using the clubs money for themselves. Someone then paid his membership for him, and he's been happy to stay here all year until his membership has come up for renewal again. Then, just like last time, he argues that he is more important than everyone else here and in fact we should pay him to be here not the other way around.
