The garage said its not a sollid fly wheel, something like hydrolic.

The uk ones they have seen are different.

Does this make any sense?

Anyway im going down there Saturday to have a look and collect the so called new clutch i bought, that now has to be sent back as its been on a car before and the garage will rightly not fit it.

UK and J spec are exactly the same, they are both dual mass flywheels. So that sounds like they're talking crap. I wouldn't skim one, that'd be likely to bugger the rubber damping. TBH I'd change it anyway if you're changing the clutch considering the labour costs of dropping the gearbox to change it later if it's a bit dodgy. They're about £350 from Toyota IIRC.

Flywheels don't really handle any power. A lighter one just helps the engine shufty along the rpm's a bit better.

I've got a lightweight RPS flywheel. I wouldn't get one again as they make the gearbox rattle like a b'stard. Oh but the nicest thing about it, is it only does it at idle, ie when you're at the lights or parking so everyone thinks the engine is about to drop out your car.

Engine pick up is good though....
