black cat
got home last night to find the hot water feed to the washer, which isnt being used has leaked from the end stop union nut. water under the laminate floor and all has now blown on joints!!!!!!!! F***in great.. iave only been in 2 weeks. the trouble is that the stupid chuff that put the kitchen in has built it in round the washer isolation taps so iam gona have to rip the intigrated fridge frezzer to get to the wall taps. omfg. tt steve
Supragal
Oh mate, chill. You will get through this!!! Houses are always a PITA! Be strong! If it helps- my kitchen still isn't finished yet... still got 2 doors to hang but it involved raising the oven up and all the handles to fit... Charlotte
God, sorry to hear that bud. If it's any consolation we've been doing our flat for 2 years and are still coming across 'pearlers' left for us by the previous owners. You'll sort it. Jake
The taps for the WM are behind the integated FF? That must have been a tight squeeze. There's usually bugger all room at the back of Int FFs. They're easy enough to pull out though mate. (I'm assuming we're talking about a tall FF rather than built-under ones) Try not to let it topple over and crush you to death as you take it out of the housing though. That'd ruin your weekend. Paul
Makes me laugh with all these kitchen installs, even the so called professionals just slap them in with no regard for getting to anything. What takes the time is doing everything neatly and going to the trouble of making sure you can get to things if they go wrong without ripping half of it back out. Blokes at work boast about fitting kitchens in days but they must look shite and be a nightmare should something like this happen. Paul
black cat
by the looks of one corner section the work top has be done by a profesional cos its cut in perfect, however thats where it ends. also theres no earthing shoud on the extension and conservatory sockets!!!!! which i am changing. And they have had a down stairs toilet installed upder the stairs (fine) however the consevatory runs across the back of the house there for there is no window to the wc and no vent axia of any type.!!?? this must be ilegal how did it pass building regs??? Supragal
It annoys me more that surveys etc don't pick up on big things, but they do tell you if your walls are a colour they don't like.

We had a homebuyers and it didn't pick up loads of stuff (too much to go into infact - but it suggested the property could do with a cosmetic uplift) yeah cheers!
