osso
Hi all, My Supra is now ready to be picked up tomorrow after having both turbo's replaced with jspec stock turbo's, and i am now currently waiting my Defi BF Boost and EGT Gauges from Mr Bling! I am going to try and fit the Gauges myself but i need someone to tap the EGT sensor to the exhaust manifold, could anyone recommend someone based in the south east that could fit this for me? How long would it take for someone to fit the EGT sensor? If it is a job that they can do while i wait then i might take it up to JPS motorsport and while i am there, get them to fit my downpipe so i can get rid of both CATS.. Cheers James
Wez
Chris Wilson is your man for this, he installs it in the number 1 runner before the turbos which gives a good reading, if you install it after the turbo you need to add about 150 - 200deg to what is actually being displayed. Soonto_HAS_soop
Try Matty Harwood at Sextons in Maidstone, he did Roys I think, or a friend of his did. Give him a call. Ben..
Matt Harwood
Not me mate... Tooo scary! - But one of the mechanics from the Ferrari dealership up the road from me, will fit the probe for about £40 (ish, can't remember exactly).
osso
Blimey only £40 quid? I was there at sextons when Roy was getting his EGT sensor fitted by the ferrari dude, and i he told me that he had spent all morning pratting around trying to sort Roys EGT sensor out.. unless he was doing other work for Roy at the time?! Yup. Wouldnt pay more than £40-£50 to fit an EGT sender. Its only a bit of careful drilling.
