merckx
Another wheel question! I'm looking to get the Volk GT-C in 19". They come in two different faces, face "1" and face "2". Face "1" has flat face spokes - needed at the front to clear the UK brakes. Face "2" has concave spokes - much better looking on the rear. ( Almost eveyone goes for this on the rear). If I go with Ray's Volk recommendations, but I have both Face "1" and "2". They recommend Front 9.5" +46 offset Rear 9.5" +37 offset I thought about going 8.5" at the front but I'm not sure if would clear the brakes, it's got a +39 offset. I know it's not normal to have the same width front and rear but I'll be fitting 245/35 19 at the front, 275/30 19 at the rear. If you're not totally confused by now I would be grateful of any thoughts anyone may have.

Nic
Do you have a pic showing the difference between face 1 and face 2. Would the face 1 not look just as good on the rear? Not interested in 18's? There is more choice of widths and offsets.
Scooter
Anyone? The Rays website is a bit of a PITA! This gives info on the wheel in English but there's not the table of fitment info That only seems to be in Japanese and click on one of the two japanese writing bits in the grey parts after the >
Scooter
can't do the links? http://www.rayswheels.co.jp This gets you to the site, which you've probably already been looking at. The Japanese section has a fitment and size guide, the English just has a description. This description does say that the wheels that clear large front calipers and denoted by a * (says also that none of the 17's do implying the 18's 19's can). However looking in the japanese size guide i cannot see any * against any of the offsets.

I've been looking everywhere on the net for these wheels, the face 2 does look so much nicer. Generally the only reason people get the face 1 on the front is to clear large brakes. The pic below has face "1" front - flat spokes ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,face "2" rear - concave spokes The Rays website is a bit of a PITA! Face 1 Face 2 I should make my mind up soon, don't think there's any problem running 9.5" front and rear.
