Paul R
Hi, Got a horrible squeek from under the bonnet this morning - noticed it yesterday too, but today it's much louder. Anyway, I popped the bonnet and I can hear wheres it's coming from. Is the water pump on the top right of the engine, driven by the fan belt? If it is then I think it's that. Anyone know how much a water pump costs? Is it easy to replace and can I do it myself? Paul.
Ian C
Nah, that's the power steering pump mate, I think most people have had squeaky ones. Mine went squeaky and I just kept WD40'ing it and one day the squeak never came back. -Ian

Same for me, apart from the fact that the squeak does come back from time to time
Steve W
Can you get an 'uprated' BLITZ squeek ??? or, maybe, a SEQUENTIAL squeek-off valve ???
TRD3000GT
U gott love this forum. I think Ive got the exact same problem. Is it the pulley at the top right hand side at the front of the block? Mine is sqeaking a bit after 10 days of the car sitting still! It seems there may be a greasing point? looks like a little ball bearing inside a drill hole in the body of the unit.. Any ideas?
Paul R
Hello. I made my squeak go away for about 2 days by putting loads of WD40 on it. But it came back again. It only sqeaks if it's been raining or theres a lot of moisture in the air. The noise goes away after the car has warmed up though. Where is this greasing point then ? can you take a pic and post it? Paul.

Any ideas? The ball bearing is just a method of permanently blocking off a drilling. FFS don't prise it out and stick a grease gun in there! Whitesupraboy2
ffs youll never guess what mine has done this morning, yes some squeaking! it kinda sounds a bit like a belt slipping but not the usual long whirring noise you get when moisture gets under it more just the small squeak instead. Stops squeaking within 5 minutes of being started up
