Taylor
Had a look thru the faq and searched but havnt found anything that can answer my problem exactly When i have the sterring on anything from about 75% left lock i get a really loud squeeling noise. i understand that this may be the p/s pump, any ideas? if so how much would this be to fix. btw it mainly seems to happen when its cold, and only when parking or v tight junctions (hence the 75% lock) but it has happened a lot today. Could be because it been raining??

Nic
Have you checked the PS fluid level, usually starts to make a noise if low or there air in the system, or it could be that your pump is on the way out. Also make sure the belt is tight and not slipping.
Guest Garfy
Does it only happen when the car is moving? If so mine did this and I couldn't believe what it was. Like you I thought it was the power steering pump but it turned out to be the dust plate on the back of the brake disc's, I pushed it back a bit and it hasn't done it since, and that was over a year ago.
