Supragal
Just had a bad thought... my phat wheels are NEVER going to get here, well not in time for the car to be moved about etc so I was going to put on a set of standard Jap wheels but presume I'm right in saying they won't fit over the UK brakes??? Presumably that means that standard UK wheels are different and will fit over? What else haven't I thought about?
Gordon F
Stock wheels come in two sizes, 16'' and 17''. 17's will fit over UK brakes, 16's wont It doesn't matter whether they are off a UK car or a Jap car, 17's will clear UK brakes
eyefi
**EDIT: gordon was faster** standard 17" fronts (uk/jap, they r effectively the same) will fit over uk calipers, standard 16"s will not. any old crap 17" will do to wheel it about. u'll probably need to put some spacers on. Steve W
Sorry S'G'...... ...yes, I was only jokin', but, havin' said that..... ...have you actually changed a Soop REAR ? ? ? it's only THEN that you realise how big your 'Rear-End' is ( !) and....what about when you've got your XXXL rears ??? (make sure you've got that "AA" / "RAC" / "Green Flag" card handy ) (or make sure you only puncture the FRONTS )
Supragal
I shall tactfully ignore all fat ass comments there It's all under control, I have AA cover, I'm not even going to carry a spare so I'll only need to deal with putting the 17's on there, pretty sure I can cope with that R
Steve W
[ thread-grab ! ! - BTW, only found out Friday, now most/all Duel-Fuel Vauxhalls DON'T CARRY SPARES either ! !... they use the spare 'well' for the 'Gas'-tank ! ! ! so that's D'F'Vaux and Ren Clio 172 Sport Cup already........ any others ??? so not such a big deal that we/I don't ? ! ......I REFUSE to USE that piddlin' little "Ring-of-NO-Confidence" ! ! ]
