if i went for this power on a j spec 6 speed, what parts would i need in addition to below?

will the box handle it, and the diff? and the engine?

injectors,

larger bosch(?) fuel pump

fuel rail (as i understand it hits restriction at circa 600BHP)

Turbo itself (as yet undecided with one of 3-4 to go with)

arnout manifold

4" exhaust system

screamer pipe on WG

Emanage Ultimate

2 row FMIC with CO2 spray

possible 25 shot of NOS for drag

would it in fact be wise to upgrade some of the parts below too? how many of them are advisable and which ones are just 'too much/for serious race cars only'

ARP bolts (head and crank)

new rods

new crank

pistons?

Gearbox

Diff? (mine is a LSD type)

the clutch is a HKS twin plate, and i like it, its a little grabby, but not too bad...should i go 3 plate

i would suggest this, with all the different combinations that i have had, remember its power delivery and drivabilty aswell. good for 520 rwhp

hks 264 cams

t61 or t63 turbo kit

680 injectors

walbro fuel pump

emanage

boostlogic crank dampaner

fmic

you can do all this for about £3000

700 is plucked from the air tbh, but i like the sound of it. mainly drag, but some small road use too.

i was going to go for around 600 BHP

my basic reasoning is this...bear with me

if im going single, and spending the money i want to be making MORE power than is possible on decent hybrids or twins, as what is the point spending so much on a setup that isnt as good as you can get hybrid or normal non hybrid twins.

so i want at LEAST 600, and possibly 700....just stretching the possibilities.

furthur to this, im not aiming at anything, just going to build my kit from the best bits to maximise power around the 600-800 bhp mark, while maximising driveability...wherever the power figure lands is unimportant, but it needs to be over 600 and under 800

what turbo are you going for RO? and what sort of power you looking for?

rob if your ever down my way give me a shout ill show you what 670 bhp is like;)

Sound Performance SSGT800W, should be good for 650 RHHP. Fuelling will support a larger turbo so i might upgrade it, don't want to have the power band too high though

i think this is where you have a conflict i have a 510 T61 rwhp single and to say its not much better than hybrids..............well if your ever up my way i'll show you how much better it is, it is highly drivable the main problem i have with the power is traction, 600 700 hp looks great on paper but i struggle to get the power down now, if you want drivable keep to the smaller end T61/63/67 if you want an arsehole of a car to drive go T78/88

aside from the clutch my t88 is no arsehole of a car to drive i get great traction and dont belive the hype about lag.have you ever been in a properley set up t88?

i want middle ground, and ill get it, i know i will :)

the smaller single turbo setups will always 'feel' better i think, but the fact of it is that dangerous bryan got 475 on his with twins (tbh, cant remember if they were hybrid or not) so in a manner of speaking he was only 40odd bhp behind you....yes, this is on paper, and as you just said, yours will spool quicker than them, but this is not my point. if im going for a single at all, then im going big

as someone on here says 'go big or go home' now im not that arrogant, but yeah, i like the idea :)
