MONKEYmark
hi just been trying to find info on the type of connections to make a dual feed fuel rail.got a spare fuel rail to have experiment on.wanting to convert it to dual feed. i have a fuel dampner bypass on car now.whats the small adapter that comes out of fuel rail so you can plug your -6 female aeromotive fuel lines into end of fuel rail.there is a small step down connector. just want to experiment and tap and die end so i can put in a dual feed connector in.i know its overkill on stock turbos. also on fuel stock fuel filter do you just get a -6 male that goes into end of fuel filter a y splitter so you can run a feed to each end of fuel rail -6 males into ends of fuel rail. its hard trying to explain it. i have been reading up on fuel threads but did not see anything.i remember someone posting the size you need. tanks mark
LeeT
hi mark, the thread size for the fuel rail is m12x1.25. i drilled and tapped out the outlet for the fuel pressure regulator with a 6an thread and used a shallow 90 degree elbow. i cant help with your fuel filter end as i used dual feeds with dual filters. im quite sure the thread size for this end is m12x1.25 as well, i can double check that for you if nobody confirms
MONKEYmark
hi leet thought it was a m12 as i was asking engineers at work a few days ago.was not 100% sure.i was asking what the 1.25 was and it is the pitch of the thread.did you modify yours. so i need fuel rail tapping to accept a m12 x 1.25 thread then buy a m12 x1.25 male adapter to -6 aeromotive male that screws into your -6 aeromotive female fuel pipes. do you have any pics or diagram of your dual fuel filter set up. where fuel comes from tank does it go onto a aeromotive Y splitter to feed both your filters, then other end of fuel filters goed to end of each side of fuel rail. thanks for reply mark just going to try it and polish rail.
