chilli
oooh I've been interested in these tyres, street legal arn't they? Did they break the bank? Let us know what the grip levels are like on them...
Rajinder
Yes they are street legal. These tyres were bought for our Intergra Type R. We have a couple of track days booked and wanted to see how they perform before getting them for the Supe. The price for a set of 4 by FM of 195/50/15 was £244.00 including delivery. Not a bad price at all. Will be able to give a feed back after track day. Pound for pound they are highly rated and are at their best in the dry. These days there are so many track day tyres that choice becomes very difficult unless you test them.
theo sz 3.0
what are does 888 toyos like in the wet?
Rajinder
The feedback from a couple of my mates and my nephew who owns a Cupra R is that there are better tyres than the 888 in the wet but they cost a lot. I really cannot say anything bad about them unless I do a track day. I would like to try them out myself rather than take someone else's word, and they could turn out to be equally good in the dry and the wet. It might also depend if they are on a FWD car or RWD one. SimonB
They'll be lethal in the wet. They have barely any tread. They are track day tyres, you wouldn't want them on the road, but on track they'll be fab. I was looking at getting a set for my stock wheels that I use for track days a while back. I think they were about £600 for a full set in stock sizes. They don't do them large enough for most aftermarket 18s, but they do the stock sizes.
