lpher
Hi guys Had the Supra on the track a couple of times last year...standard car except for the Blitz NUR Spec R and one missing cat...fun! However that was before installing boostcontroller etc. so all i had to worry about then was to leave ONE sheet of rubber left on the rear wheels so i had i enough to drive home on But as ive now stepped up and mounted...SBC I-Color (bought it of Nic )...Greddy BCC & K&N Panelfilter....and running anything between 1,1 - 1,3bar...depending on mood etc (not really driven hard...just to "feel the power" ) Im wondering what kind of boostlevels i could run at my next track day outing? For the record...i will...before going on the track...take out the other cat aswell...install colder plugs...and have a closer look at my stock ic...to see if it needs changing... So...how much boost are you guys..with similar setups running at track day events? ...and this is offcourse a eurospec Supra
AJI
just keep it at a safe level.... usually 1.2bar is as high as you'd want to take stock turbos anyhow. This limit is generally considered the max. safe level to prolong the life of your turbos. I'm guessing this figure is just an agreed level from past failures of turbos over the years. I run mine at 1.2bar whether I'm on the road or on the track.
Guest Terry S
you may get heak soak on sustained sessions.
Alex
Because you're running sustained boost for a track day I'd run less boost than you do on the road.
