Angarak
Whilst it was a nice today (atleast where I live) I thought go outside and track down the serial number for my HKS F-CON V located in my passenger footwell. I also intended to relocate the F-CON unit to a better place as it was lying loose between the underside of the carpet and the top of the ENGINE & THROTTLE ECU's 'kick plate' and I was concerned about passengers knocking it. I noticed that the 'kick plate' wasnt seated like it should be so removed it to see why. If you look at the picture attached below you can see what I was confronted with. Can anyone tell me if the grey connections (highlighted in yellow) are OEM and if so where should they be located. It is this part of the wiring loom that is currently lying ontop of the THROTTLE ECU and prevents the 'kick plate' from sitting properly over the top. If possible I'd like to tidy it up and get the 'kick plate' sitting like it should which would give my passengers a little more foot room. http://mooch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/supra/supra_loom.jpg

Angarak
No' date=' its known as a fields harness [/quote'] Well it should be called 'a bloody nuisance harness' ...I take it that the harness is part of the F-CON loom then. b_have
Actually, looks quite a nice professional job. Its there purely as an interconnector so as the oem loom isn't mauled (like mine)
Obiwan
Thats not a fields harness, thats an HKS vehicle specific harness that is designed to mate between the stock ecu and the F-con specifically. A fields harness connects the stock wiring harness to the ecu and allows you an area to splice or tap into the harness wihtout damaging the harness itself. The install looks like it was poorly done to me. I can give you ideas on how to do it cleanly and professionaly as the F-con is my weapon of choice. Just shoot me an e-mail and Ill be more then happy to help you out. Looks like you have a version 3.1 or 3.0 unit as well since its silver. Angarak
Cheers guys. Ben, do you happen to know how I can tell what version it is? It is silver, and I have the serial number for it (so I can see if it has inbuilt FCD for when I decat) but didnt notice a version number written anywhere on the casing. I'll have another look at it tomorrow if the weather is nice to see how the loom is wired up....there are more wires than you can shake a stick at Update http://mooch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/supra/fcon.html Cheers Simon
