Willson
Half way through my journey home, my indicators decided to stop working. Hazard lights still works fine though (I haven't done anything to the car for weeks but I did rewire my indicators to the fog lights about a month ago) Too dark to do anything now, so tomorrow I will check the fuses (?) and the indicator stalk. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or info that might help ? Cheers
keron
thats exatly whats just happened to me in the mr2. i checked the fuses and they are fine, sometimes i hear a short/spark sound comming from the stalk when i indicate??
jagman
I would start looking at the wiring you did for the fogs .the flasher unit will have a set resistance to operate( the 4 indicators) ,sounds like it has too much loading(fogs!) hazard lights usually have their own flasher unit so still work
Willson
Yay ! It was the fuse Cheers fellas
Supra ST Myster
Must of been a reason though for the fuse to go??? Would check the wireing.
Willson
I guess and hope that it was because of the increased load being drawn, when I changed from a 21W bulb to a 110W or so.
Supra ST Myster
Yeah that could explain it !!! If it goes again though i would be carefull in thinking about fitting a larger fuse as if you go to big the wire could burn before the fuse goes! I would only go a little bit up in value.
