Digsy
Could be something to do with the 4x 21W bulbs you are illuminating at the rear of the car.
Ian C
Oh yeah that too Er, 500rpm is too low I'd say but unless it stalls (or tries to) when you rev up and lift off I've no idea what's wrong with it. -Ian
RedM
If I rev up and lift off she just settles back to idle. No drama. Can the idle speed be increased and, if so, how?
milocoon
If your NA is happy at 500 rpm and doesn`t stall then leave well alone, you`re helping the planet a little bit ! Mind U you`re also buggerring it when you do the Donuts but at least you`re trying a little. Is your knob (RLTC) behaving now ?

RLTC kob still cuts power and I've now found that my wheel allocations have changed!!!! Hoping to borrow a laptop for the weekend and do the job manually. Thorin
You sure it's 500? Might sound daft but I had a mate say the same thing when he sat in my car. It might look half way between 0 and 1k but the thin lines mark 200rpm increments... and the first couple are squashed together, so half way between 0 and 1k is actually around 600? Mine idles around 700ish I think. lol.

In theory the only way to change them is by using a laptop ! You might have a faulty one or maybe that loose power lead did do something ? RedM
I have to confess that the car has just been connected via Racelogic software to the PC and I ran a data log thingy. Idle was recored at 685 rpm!
milocoon
This RLTC group buy/ install story may seem "why the hell go through the hassle" to outsiders but mine is OK now so my advice is "persist coz life ain`t easy" I learnt an awful lot about wiring diagrams and would tackle other jobs now, being a DIY`er (quote from RedM) I can say that my install is probably more professional than the people who put his in as I wasn`t in a hurry and on a time limit. People on this forum can give fellow members much better advice from personal triumphs (and failures) than from so called professionals. This isn`t a slagging off post but I thought RedM by now would have had his problem sorted FOC so I do NOT apologize for saying this. RedM
Can I just point out that this isn't a RL thread?
milocoon
You asked for an RLTC install by a 3rd Party and it`s not really been satisfactory. I`d be looking for a remedial fix / investigation within a reasonable time period to give the installer a chance to rectify any problems and ensure complete customer satisfaction ! The Customer has rights as I`m sure Trading Standards understand !
