terribleturner
I just left the keys in a car that has an anti-hijacking alarm which as you know locks the f*****g door when you close it. Brilliant if you walk off and forget to lock the car but not so good if your moving cars in the driveway and don't remove the keys while moving to the other vehicle. No spare key and the spare alarm fob is unprogrammed. Can life get any sweeter??

Ian R
Tough job though as no window frame to go in behind there is a chance you may crack the glass
JamesG
That's a pretty stupid alarm design! My Toad alarm locks the doors after the car is started, but only if a door hasn't been opened in the meantime. That way it won't lock the door if you are potentially out of the car. Nic
Been there done that By coincidence I did something equally as anoying today, went out my apartment door, up the stairs to my roof with the gf, to hang some washing out. Left my door half open and just as I'd started to climb the stairs, the air pressure difference pulled the door closed, locking us both out. Funny thing was, I was just in a pair of short and the gf was just in one of my T-shirts, so it was left up to me to go contact my landlord for a spare key

terribleturner
Well all done and in under an hour It was on Sabrinas' FTO and she called Mr RAC who came in like 45 minutes and had it open in 5 minutes. Stupid stupid alarm. Does anyone actually know anyone who the anti-hijack feature has actually helped them?? I think it's time to programme the alarm fob and get a new key cut. GazzaGSi
Had this happen on my previous car. Started it up, opened the bonnet and my mate shut the door - I was like noooo open it quick, he just grabbed the handle and it locked. Grrr. Luckily though the bonnet was open so we just disconnect something to cut the engine while he took me home to get my keys/fob. Thing was though as the car new the key were in the ignition I couldnt use the fob to open the door. And it was delocked. So I had to unlock the boot and climb through. Was fun looking back but a real pain in the arse when its occuring. Least you sorted it dude!
whitesupratt
I have done this soooooo many times, always had to use the coathanger trick! but this was always on my Pug 106 GTI, not done it on the Supra yet!
RedM
I find that Blackjax does no such thing. Mine is set to only lock the doors above a set RPM which is actually a lot higher than those needed to get Blackjax all worked up. Also, if it only ever helps me once that will be enough. terribleturner
Im sure Sabrina will answer the system name when she comes online. Mecro or something along those lines. Thatcham approved but you wont find me inline to buy one for my car I thought it only did it when you start moving, but this has a delay of like 30s to a minute and it locks up. Nick1980
lol, should've phoned the fire brigade dude, they'd have been there like that.......although you would have had to slip a baby into the car that needed rescuing or something
Suprash
I have a story, not locked my keys in the car, but last night at McDonalds I thought I was locked in their toilets, as you go through a door to a small area in which your presented with 3 other doors, mens, ladies and baby changing, anyhow when coming back out of the mens into this little area instead of going straight ahead for some reason I turned left, went to pull the door and it was locked, so I starts banging, and shouting, but no one hears me, so Im stood there for 10mins waiting, thinking fuck work'll go mad if Im here all night, then some chap walks through the door opposite, I was trying to get into the baby changing room, lol....... how_supra
Yes it was my car. Funny thing is that I saw James put the keys in the ignition knowing he wasn't going to be moving it straight away. I assume that everyone knows that if you leave the keys in the ignition, undo the window Oh well The alarm is Meta Systems. M99 36T2 or something. Its not the best alarm system I have to say, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
