V
Looking at nipping over to France, probably the Brittany area for a week or 2 in a cottage with private pool around June. Driving over. Anyone been there done that and can give some recommendations. Me & wife + a couple of friends with a 3 year old. Prefer somewhere near to a decent town/coast. Got a couple of brochures: Cottages 4 U (same as French life) Bow Hills (not much in there) Have considered going further down into the next region (Vandees ???) but thinking about the kid for travelling. Cheers
scooby_doo_do
If you wait till june and stay somewhere, you could nip away for a Sat/sun (18th-19th) and watch the Le mans 24 hours with us all :-) Just tell the others your popping out for a paper? milocoon
Mobile Homes are very luxurious in France so if you see one for private hire then that good be a good price. Most sites have swimming pools as well.

Soop Dogg
Its all in bloody French – foreigners!! Oh shut up and put some effort in!! The Gites are of the highest standard you could hope for, and most are about £40 a night. (room -rate) There are English pages on that site, you just have to look for them. Many of the Gites have their own websites with English versions linked on the Gites-de-France site too. Alex, IanC and Digsy will tell you how good they are - we stayed in one on the way back from Le Mans last year.
Digsy
Yep, the gite we stayed in on the way back from LeMans was indeed lovely. I even accidentally took the keys home with me
