sarjo
Has anybody changed their tailgate rubbers - mine are a bit worn and I've heard changing them can reduce the rear rattling not that I've heard much of that with the noise from the exhaust !!!!! A guy on ebay is selling them for about 30 quid a set - thought that might be a bit expensive for four rubber blocks!!?? Traders?
Jspec Germany
Search 'boot rubbers'. Tons of threads on this,... and yes, that's expensive. Oh, and you only need two pieces.
Faye
You can get them from Toyota for about £10 including the screws
markssupra
Only problem you might have is if the screws are rusty and can be a pain in the ar*e to get out, but it does cure the annoying rattles and squeaks. I had to carefully drill out some of the screws and re tap the threads. check out this link from mkiv.com. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/hatch_rattle/index.html
Rob Davey
The screws are held in with loctite. One side of mine came out easy the other i had to drill as i rounded off the screws (I was unaware of the damn loctite at that point!). Try and get some thinners in the screw thread to release the loctite and use the appropiate screw driver to limit an issues!
sarjo
Thanks for the advice guys - will try that. They sound quite cheap from Toyota, and not doubting you but are you sure there's only two? Trip to Toyota coming up!
Rob Davey
Only two. I stupidly bought the ones on the top of the boot, these are hard plastic and do not wear out at all! damn things were more expensive than the bottom ones!

Chiefgroover
I have a pair, used for two years and pretty much as good as new.
